Paddock Wood Bowls Club has a reputation throughout Kent as a warm and friendly club.
We celebrated our 25th Anniversary in 2017. For a full history of the club. please see the Club History page.
As one of only a handful of clubs in Kent with an artificial playing surface, we are able to play throughout the year and have very few matches cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.
Annual Membership costs can be found on our New Members Form under the 'Play Bowls' Tab . There is a special discount for new members who are 'new to bowls' for their first year's membership.
Bowls is a relatively cheap sport to play. We have a selection of bowls for new members to try out when they first join and many members will purchase a second-hand set of Bowls as their first set. This will cost somewhere between £10 and £50. Once established, an upgrade to a new set of bowls will cost in the region of £300 to £450.
New members can try out the sport in Trainers or flat soled shoes. A pair of Bowls shoes can be bought from around £30.
Once established, members need a pair of grey trousers (or skirt) and white shirt. Our club shirt, subsidised by our main sponsor, Berry and Lamberts Solicitors costs £10 which includes club badge and your name.
Wet weather clothing is also useful but many members will buy these second-hand from other club members. Often, when we visit clubs, second-hand clothing is for sale in the changing rooms.
Check out or 'Fixture' or 'Events' pages with more in-depth information about the friendly and league matches we play during the season.
Once you become a member, you will have access to the entire web site. This contains a lot of helpful information including Member contact details and downloadable documents, including our Guide for New Bowlers which will introduce you to the club.
